J has officially given me The Great Divide as my own hive! I am childishly thrilled that I have my own bees to take care of. I got bee-suited up and transferred the bees from the nuc to the hive. We put the frame feeder inside this hive now and are hopefull that they will strengthen up :) Luckily we spotted the queen right away!! The only queen we saw tonight. Looks like my little hive's going to make it.

J went to the bees to divide The Boss in half. We split The Boss in "The Spin-Off" and they had begun to make new queen cells. Since there were so many J decided that this could be a good time to split the hive again. This way they have already raised the queens and both hives (The Boss and The Great Divide) will have a queen around the same time.
I myself am a little worried about weakening The Boss so much, but we will see how it goes!
