Checked on Thing One and Thing Two today. They are looking good. Didn't spot the queens but it looks like they are both laying and pulilng comb. Not time for a second box yet.
Sunday June 24th
We got the new nucs from Roger Morash today. They are pretty weak (much less bees in them than the first two we got) so that was a little disappointing. We transferred the first nuc and then ran out of smoke for the second one (the leaves were still wet and the news paper kept burning off!). What a difference the smoke makes!
